Manual Ship Steering System
The Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine NAVIGUIDE 4000 Manual Ship Steering System is the first steering system to use ship steering control network technology. The NAVIGUIDE 4000 Manual Steering System has multiple configurations to meet specific customer requirements and is fully type approved by classification society Germanischer Lloyd.
The NAVIGUIDE 4000 marine steering system has the following benefits:
NAVIGUIDE 4000 components have a modular mechanical design that allow for simple installation, to fully meet customer requirements. Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine offers customised console frames in different sizes and configurations. These frames are all pre-wired, configured and fully tested by Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine. With the expertise of Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine installation, costs and commissioning time are considerably reduced.
Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine was the first supplier to use Control Area Network methods. The NAVIGUIDE 4000 is connected to the Control Area Network (CAN) and power supply. The wiring of this system is less error-prone compared to other conventional systems. The NAVIGUIDE 4000 can connect a various number of steering controllers, including the autopilot NAVIPILOT 4000, into a network. The installation is simple and fast and extensions are easily to add.
The NAVIGUIDE 4000 advanced marine steering system consists of modular system architecture and fulfils individual customer requirements. It can be used for all vessels with single and dual rudders and on vessels. Dynamic positioning and joystick systems can be integrated seamlessly. The system can even be modified or extended by simply adding components to the CAN bus.
